Sesame Squad is an online community of parents, caregivers, and early childhood professionals willing to share their opinions on a variety of topics. This online community seeks to understand everything from children’s television watching habits to teachers’ methods for teaching about emotional well-being, to parents’ approaches to talking about tough topics, to children’s favorite toys. We’ll cover a wide variety of topics, and that’s what keeps Sesame Squad fun and engaging! We are excited to hear what you have to say!
Sesame Squad is powered by Toluna.
Sesame Squad is a community led by Sesame Workshop, the global impact non-profit organization behind Sesame Street and so much more.

To be eligible to participate in the Sesame Squad community, you will need to complete an initial survey that covers some questions specific to your role as a parent/caregiver, and/or early childhood professional and some demographic questions to help us classify your answers. For parents and caregivers, this will include questions about your child’s media consumption and family structure. For early childhood professionals, this will include questions about your current job description and experience in the field. Once this survey has been completed, you will become eligible to participate.

Not necessarily. We will do our best to identify studies that look like a match based on your profile. However, if the criteria to participate in a particular survey is not part of your membership information, the only way to know if you qualify will be to answer initial questions within the survey. In cases when you do not fit the criteria, we will try and notify you quickly and release you from completing that survey.
On average, you will be sent a survey invitation about once or twice per month. There will also be new polls posted to the site every week or two, as well as occasional new discussion forums for you to participate in.
You are welcome to take part in as many surveys and discussion forums as you like.
On average, our surveys are approximately 10-15 minutes; however, some can be as short as 5 minutes and others can be longer than 15 minutes. All surveys and activities are completely voluntary, and we let you know the approximate length of the survey in the invitation so you can plan accordingly. Also, surveys can be stopped and restarted later from where you left off if you are in a hurry.
